Film Fund
The Film Fund is the production and development heart of the BFI. We support filmmakers in the UK who are emerging or world class and capable of creating distinctive and entertaining work.
Important notice
On 1 April 2011, the British Film Institute became the Lottery distributor for film funding. From this date, the Film Fund transferred to the BFI and all applications are made via the BFI website. There is a click through from this website to the BFI's until this website is fully closed down.
All applications completed and submitted to the UK Film Council by 12 noon on 31 March 2011 were transferred to the BFI on 1 April 2011. You do not need to do anything further as your application will automatically transfer at the stage of the decision-making process it has reached. However, all future correspondence regarding your application will be from the BFI and subsequent funding decisions will be made by the Film Fund as part of the BFI.
An Online Application Account (IGAM Account) is created to allow access to the Online Film Fund Application Form. If you have such an Account it will have been transferred to the BFI on 1 April. The link to access your account, as well as your log-in details will remain the same. You will still be able to access any completed online applications previously submitted to the UK Film Council through your Online Application Account: https://www.grantrequest.com/SID_772/?SA=AM.
