We've contributed to the success of many quintessentially British films - Bend it like Beckham, Gosford Park, The Constant Gardener, The Last King of Scotland and many others.
Around 50 million people in the UK have seen a Lottery funded movie. Lottery funded films have earned more than £450 million worldwide. That's a pretty cost-effective and enjoyable benefit on the money contributed to 'good causes' when you buy a Lottery ticket.
We have two funds that provide funding for features films.
- Premiere Fund: Our Premiere Fund invests in mainstream, commercially-driven films and encourages the participation of British creative talent in their success.
- New Cinema Fund: Our New Cinema Fund finances films that communicate unique ideas, demonstrate an innovative approach or showcase new voices – but still connect with a wide range of audiences.
