Birds Eye View Film Festival 2009 - open for submissions
The Birds Eye View Film Festival is open for submissions from women filmmakers from around the globe, to be a part of a showcase programme of innovative and inspirational shorts, features and documentaries.
The Birds Eye View Film Festival 2009 will open on 5 March with ten days of feature, documentary and short films made by women around the globe, plus special events, panels and parties. All events will be held at leading London film venues. Key events will involve celebrity presenters and guest speakers.
2008 saw the 4th Birds Eye View Film Festival - the biggest yet, with 10,000 visitors coming to 80 events across 8 days at the BFI Southbank, Institute of Contemporary Arts, Curzon Soho and other London venues. Screenings were accompanied by inspiring Q&A's, masterclasses, special cross-arts events, parties, a whole new innovation strand, a retrospective of silent film with special live music commissions and a programme of workshops and masterclasses for emerging talent.
Birds Eye View Film Festival are seeking submissions from women filmmakers from around the globe, to be a part of a showcase programme of innovative and inspirational shorts, features and documentaries.
Awards will be presented to Best Short Drama, Best Short Animation, Best Documentary and a special Award for Innovation.
